Touring the city by electric motorbike, visiting the manifesto house of Gaudí or watching the sunset from the Carmel bunker are some of the proposals that we detail below

  1. The first Sunday of every month almost all museums are free. And in some, like the Picasso Museum, you can book the ticket in advance four days before.
  2. The visit to Casa Viçens should be mandatory, it is wonderful. Each room is full of precious details that will be explained by the internal guides if you ask for them. It opened its doors few months ago and you will discover not only Gaudí’s first work with this visit, but also the contemporary architects who influenced him when you see the temporary exhibition.

  3. If you want to visit the Sagrada Familia, book tickets online before to avoid a huge queue that will last for hours. If you also want to visit the towers, book more in advance, since there are a more limited number of tickets available.
  4. Do you have driving license? A different way to visit Barcelona is renting an electric motorbike with the eCooltra app. You can register quickly in three minutes, put your personal data, capture your ID card and driving license, enter your credit or debit card details and finally check the email they send you and validate it. It´s accepted Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Look for a promotional code through the network, you can surely enjoy 30 free minutes as I did. The cost of the service is € 0.24 per minute and you have 15 minutes to get to the bike you have booked. Once on the motorcycle, you will finde two helmets in case you are accompanied and you can park it anywhere.
  5. If you do not have a driving license, the cheapest way to get around Barcelona is by public transport. For more than five trips by subway, bus or rail, the best option is the t10 card. It has 10 trips, it costs € 10.2 and it is multi-personal, so if you are two people traveling together you will have 5 trips each. There are also cards of two, three, four and five days, with which you would enjoy unlimited trips during the days you choose.
  6. Watching the sunset from the Carmel bunker is a very romantic choice if you go in couple. But it is also very nice if you come alone or with friends. You can stop at just 110m from the bunker, at the Marià Lavèrnia stop, if you take the bus 119, which is taken near Penitents metro station (L3).
  7. To take some tapas in carrer Blai. There are plenty of places that offer tapas between € 1 and € 1.5, so you will not have to think long once you get hungry if you’re in the area.
  8. If you want to eat a fideua or a good rice, you can go to the neighborhood of Barceloneta where there are many alternatives, such as: La Gavina, Rías do Miño or Salamanca Restaurant.
  9. Do you want to go shopping but not to the classic stores of the Inditex group? There are a few very interesting shops: Picnic, The Vos Shop or El Piano in the neighborhood of gracia, specifically in Calle Verdi.
  10. Finally, if you are also looking for a well located aparthotel in Barcelona and with all the amenities to experience Barcelona as a local, check availability on our website 🙂
