Did you know that Barcelona is the city with the greatest number of Michelin stars in Spain? And that 6 of the 31 stars are on Paseo de Gracia?
From March 8th to 18th, 12 of the most exclusive restaurants on Paseo de Gracia will offer tasting menus with a price between €45 and €50, a cost that at first sight may seem expensive, but which cost is not to high when it comes to “haute cuisine”.
The twelve restaurants that will open their doors to this proposal are: Jardin del Alma, Boca Grande, Galaxó, La Terraza del Claris, El Majestic, Hotel Mandarin Oriental Blanc, Monument Hotel Oria, El Principal de l’Eixample, Somni Restaurant & Cocktail, sirloin, skylight and La Vinateca Torres.
The couples of cookers in charge of making these menus real are: Martín Berasategui and Paolo Casagrande de Lasarte; Joan Roca and Rafa Panatieri from Roca Moo or Ruscalleda and Raül Balam de Moments.
There will also be dishes for €7, which include a glass of wine, champagne or beer.
One of the reasons why this festival has been created is to publicize the gastronomic offer that exists in Barcelona, since according to Luis Sans, the president of the Passeig de Gràcia Association: “sometimes goes unnoticed”.
Although the initial idea of this project is to bring the residents of Barcelona to Paseo de Gracia to let them know its varied and rich culinary offer, transients passing through Barcelona are also welcome. So if you are looking for an aparthotel in Barcelona, well connected to the Paseo de Gracia, The Urban Suites is an excellent option, since we are only three metro stops from Diagonal with the blue line.
