For the first time, an exhibition examines the role of the North American photographer Lee Miller in the evolution of the British surrealist movement. The exhibition brings together 200 photographic pieces, drawings, paintings and sculptures, putting in dialogue an extensive representation of Miller’s photographic work with pieces by some of the leading artists in the international surrealist circle: Man Ray, Max Ernst, Leonora Carrington, Yves Tanguy , Henry Moore, Eileen Agar, Roland Penrose, Paul Nash, Salvador Dalí, Giorgio de Chirico or Joan Miró, among others.

The exhibition traces chronologically the career of the New York director Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999), from his years of apprenticeship as a photographer in Look magazine, stopping at his twelve feature films, to his unborn projects or in charge of the responsibility of other filmmakers.
It presents a careful selection of more than six hundred items between moving images (about forty audiovisuals); objects and material from the director’s personal files (research and production documents, scripts, still photos, tools, costumes, models, cameras and lenses …), iconic props and costumes and correspondence with the talent that surrounded him .
The whole career of the director is documented and represented, from his beginnings with the short films to his latest film, Eyes Wide Shut (1999) or masterpieces such as 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), The Mechanical Orange (1971), Barry Lyndon (1975) and The Shining (1980).
