"Sleeping Beauty", with music by Tchaikovsky, based on Charles Perrault's fairy tale, at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in this season.
The memorable production was premiered in 1946 by Nicolas Sergeyev, Ninette de Valois and Oliver Messel. In 2006, when the Royal Ballet celebrated its 75th anniversary, Monica Mason and Christopher Newton embarked on a new and ambitious adventure to restage this ballet.
