Fira de Barcelona was constituted officially in 1932 and is a meeting and exchange framework although it is often taken to mean the exhibition centre at Gran Via. The Fira de Barcelona is publicly owned with autonomous company management.
Fira de Barcelona has 80 trade shows bringing together 40,000 companies and receiving three and a half million visitors.
Fira de Barcelona has 365,000 m2 of exhibition floor space, one of the largest areas in Europe, divided into two exhibition centres: Montjuïc (165,000m2 of exhibition floor space, 50,000 outdoor) and Gran Via (200,000m2 exhibition floor space).

The Fira at Gran Via is served by the Barcelona Metro Station and other transport links to Plaza España
Mobile World Congress - This is one of the biggest events in Barcelona although there is some debate as to whether it will stay in Barcelon
