
Barcelona's International Convention Centre (CCIB) comprises the Convention Centre and the Forum Auditorium, which are linked by a subterranean avenue. They are both fitted with state-of-the-art facilities in a highly versatile space that is beautifully integrated into the city's seafront: Diagonal Mar.
The centre has modern facilities on the seafront and its area is of 100.000m2, fitted with cutting edge technology.
Since its opening in November 2004 until 2009, the CCIB has hosted a total of 491 events and has welcomed 2,392,513 delegates. It has been the venue of significant Spanish and international events such as the Euro-Mediterranean Summit of Heads of State; the World Conservation Congress (IUCN), the 50th Anniversary Gala for TVE and the Euro PCR Cardiology Congress, as well as events held by leading Spanish and international corporations.
How to arrive to the CCIB combining meter and streetcar: Take the line L1 of metro in Hostafrancs up to Glories. Once in Glories, take the line T5 of the streetcar and stop in the stop Sant Martí de Provençals.
